Essentials of Finance

Course Objectives

This Essentials of Finance course is intended for those seeking to be managers – not finance specialists – and for those who wish to enhance their decision making ability based on applying financial knowledge in business. Furthermore, the course is tailored for those who are studying finance for the first time.

In this context, the course focuses on :

- Developing the student’s overall understanding of finance, rather than obtaining technical skills or knowledge
- Providing the students with a knowledge vase that can be leveraged in actual business settings
- Providing the students with opportunities to collect necessary data, to calculate numbers and to come up with their own conclusions

The course is presented with the assumption that students have either completed Essentials of Accounting or possess a fundamental level of accounting knowledge.
