Principles of Corporate Finance
Curriculum
Finance I (Corporate Finance)
Course Objectives
This course is designed for those who want to use basic frameworks and analytical methods of corporate finance to identify which projects would contribute to enhancing corporate value and to learn how to implement them. It also deals with how investment decision making can affect a company’s finance strategy and how necessary funds are raised.
The objective of this course is NOT to focus on technical terms or specific knowledge in the area of finance. Rather, students are expected to apply financial views to daily operations and improve accountability to stakeholders. Students will engage in simulated decision-making exercises throughout the course. The six class sessions will be carried out in a discussion-oriented style and on the assumption that students already possess basic knowledge of corporate finance and accounting.
