This workshop explores the issue that has been perceived as somehow controversial for some time; gender at work.

We all must agree that each individual is equal as a workforce and to be treated fairly at any case. However, what is fair to every one of us? Do current workplaces provide a fair environment for us to be authentic selves? Do we act the same way or differently from who we really are once we step into a corporate world? Does the gender play any role in that context?
We believe this question could bear a significant meaning for the direction of future management science and scope of the ever-evolving MBA education.

This workshop intends to create a place for men and women to learn to be gender-conscious, rather than gender-free, and participate in the creation of new knowledge and perspectives for workplaces that resonate with our authentic sense of being and happiness. The workshops will be led by a GLOBIS lecturer who acts to generate open discussions among the participants.

All men and women who are intrigued by the theme are welcome to our workshop.

2012年7月27日（金）にGLOBIS MBA が主催するワークショップを開催致します。

テーマは、「ビジネスシーンにおいて、ジェンダーの持つ影響とは？」

この体験クラスでは「ジェンダー・ギャップ」を題材に、性別の枠を設けない「ジェンダー・フリー」の発想ではなく、性別を敢えて生かそうとする「ジェンダー・コンシャス」の視点から、男性、女性が共に学び、深く共鳴し合う職場をどう作るかを考えていきます。

なぜMBAでジェンダーなのか？　一般的に、MBAは、創造と変革を実現できるリーダー・経営者を育成することを目的としており、そういう人材になるために必要な経営知識として、Marketing, Strategy, Financeなどを多角的に学んでいきます。

一方、変化し続けるビジネス環境において、それだけで十分と言えるでしょうか？「人」が潜在的に持つ創造性やイノベーションを
引き出すためには、「人」を理解すること、共に働く仲間の仕事に対する考え方を理解した上で、自己実現が出来、長く働ける職場環境やキャリアの仕組みを作る必要があると考えます。

それを実現するために、ビジネスパーソンが学ぶべきことの１つ、それがジェンダー・ギャップです。

ジェンダー・ギャップは、日本国内外にかかわらず常につきまとう問題です。例えば、ご自身が働いている会社は、女性が一生働きたいと思える会社ですか？

ワークショップでは、ロンドン、ニューヨークにて、アパレル、エンターテイメント・ライセンシング業界の会計業務に従事し、現在はGLOBISでAccountingやFinanceコースのコンテンツ開発にも携わっている田岡恵講師が登壇します。

田岡は、現在ジェンダー・マネジメントについて研究をしており、今後グローバルに活躍するためには、ジェンダー・ギャップへの意識が不可欠であると考えています。事実、現在成長している企業はジェンダーに対しての意識が大変高く、男女共に自己実現できる場を作り出している会社が多いかと思います。
