Admission Process
Admission process for applicants meeting the requirements involves two phases:
(1) A document screening phase followed by (2) an interview and examination phase.
(1) Document Screening Phase
The application documents need to be submitted to the Admissions Office through our Online Admission System (available from August 2012) by 18:30, Japan Standard Time of the deadline dates. For application deadlines please refer to the Key Dates for Admission page. Applications submitted by e-mail, fax or mail cannot be accepted.
(2) Interview and Examination Phase
Applicants who successfully pass the document screening phase will proceed to an interview and examination. The results, along with interview and examination dates, will be given through the Online Admission System and by e-mail. Applicants are asked to keep their schedules open during the relevant interview & examination periods indicated in the table in the Key Dates for Admission page.
For applicants based in Japan, the face to face interview will last for 30 minutes and the written logical thinking test will last for one hour.
Applicants who are not based in Japan will be interviewed by telephone, and, logical thinking ability will also be evaluated by telephone.
Please also note the following:
- Applicants who have already taken and passed GLOBIS’ English based Critical Thinking Course (grades of A, B or C) are exempt from the logical thinking examination
- Applicants who submit a GMAT score report issued within five years from the date of submission are exempt from the logical thinking examination.
- Applicants who are not available during the relevant interview and examination period must let us know in advance when submitting their application. Applicants who do not attend the interview and exam on the date and time set may not be accepted.
- Applicants with any special needs (mobility etc) can notify the Admissions Office in advance and appropriate arrangements will be made.
Enrollment Registration
Applicants who pass the interview and examination phase will be notified through the Online Admission System and a formal admission letter will be sent together with enrollment registration documents. The admission notification will not be　communicated over the phone. Successful applicants are to proceed with the registration by the deadline stated in the enrollment registration documents.
