Open Enrollment Policy and Application

The GLOBIS MBA offers applied and specialized courses to students who have sufficient skill, experience and will. All the courses provided through the open enrollment system are high-level courses planned for students who have completed the fundamental subjects at the GLOBIS MBA. As you will experience advanced-level discussions on management, high class contribution is required for open enrollment students. We conduct a screening process each time a non-degree student applies for an open enrollment course.

Application requirements

To pursue an in-depth understanding, students are required to complete prerequisite courses for each open enrollment course. Please check the courses you need to take on the “Prerequisite Courses” page of the GLOBIS MBA website before applying. (Even if you do not satisfy the requirements, your may be admitted to open enrollment course if you meet the work or study experience criteria.)

5 to 10 hours of preparation time

In order to get the most out of your studies and contribute to each class, sufficient preparation time – 5 to 10 hours – is required. Students who are not sufficiently prepared hold back the learning experience for other students.

Class contribution is expected

A key feature of GLOBIS is its policy for enhancing learning through the mutual understanding gained by exploring different ways of thinking. GLOBIS classes depend upon the active participation of students. Simply listening to lecturers or other students violates this principle. Try to actively engage in class discussions by speaking out and preparing your own analyses supported by strong, logical evidence.

Some courses require reports written in groups

Depending on the class style, some applied/specialized courses require you to write and submit reports in groups. You will be divided into groups and asked to work with the group members during the first classes of the course. In such courses, study sessions will be held very frequently. Please keep your schedule flexible to attend study sessions and work on groupwork when taking these courses. You can check the class style of each course on the “MBA Course Details” page.
