How to apply to Pre-MBA

Requirements

  1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate degree
  2. One year of full-time work experience
  3. English test score: TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS*(1)
  4. An essay of 200 words minimum explaining why you wish to join the Pre-MBA*(2)

*(1) Native speakers of English or graduates of university programs taught entirely in English are exempt. If you require a test score but do not have one, GLOBIS will send an English test as part of the screening process.
*(2) Using Generative AI for MBA application writing is unacceptable, as it bypasses critical self-reflection and prevents a genuine assessment of your potential.

    Receive application result by email in a few business days.

    Register for the course(s)

    Follow the instructions provided via email.

    Pay the tuition

    Within two weeks of the course registration.

    Prepare for the first class

    Join orientation. Download course materials.

Required Information for Application

  • Summary of academic and professional experience
  • Essay: “Why do you wish to apply to the Pre-MBA at GLOBIS University?” Please share your background and motivation (for example, current challenges or future goals), and specify how the Pre-MBA will benefit you. (Minimum 200 words, in English)
  • English test score (if applicable)

We accept Pre-MBA applications year-round. However, please note that the registration deadline is two weeks before a course starts.

Rules and Regulations

  • Pre-MBA student status is valid for one year and can be extended for an additional year* or until MBA enrollment is confirmed.
  • Pre-MBA and Japanese Tanka students may earn a maximum of 12 credits (equivalent to 8 courses) in total and transfer them to the MBA programs at GLOBIS. Students wishing to take courses in the Japanese Tanka program must apply separately.
  • All Pre-MBA students must comply with Section 8 of the Enrollment Regulations.

*Without confirmed MBA enrollment, Pre-MBA status can only be extended during the period in which earned credits remain eligible for recognition toward MBA program completion. Pre-MBA credits are valid for MBA programs only if they have been registered and earned within five years prior to enrollment in the MBA program.
