With the recent developments regarding the spread of COVID-19, GLOBIS University would like to review the various measures we have taken so far, and address how we are dealing with potential concerns regarding our MBA application requirements and MBA intakes.
Since the very beginning of the outbreak, we have been closely coordinating with health officials, based on guidelines from the Japanese government to provide a safe environment for all our stakeholders.
One major decision we took was closing our campuses across the country and since March 2 (Mon.) have been offering all courses at GLOBIS University online. The ease of the switch was possible due to our experience teaching various programs online, and the efforts and cooperation of our staff, lecturers, students, and corporate clients.
At the same time, we realize that there are applicants worldwide who might be experiencing difficulties regarding our MBA application requirements, as well as those who may have concerns about our safety measures and program intakes. We would like to address these points below.
- Difficulties to submit test scores, documents due to closures
As there might be test centers and other facilities such as banks closed to reduce the spread of COVID-19 virus around the world, we have decided to allow special extensions for those unable to submit documents such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC scores or bank statements before the MBA application deadline.
Applicants will still be required to submit all other remaining documents via our Application Portal before the deadline and contact the Admissions Office (email@example.com) to inform them of the missing documents.
The application deadlines for our MBA programs are as follows:
(Full-time MBA, Online MBA, Part-time MBA) March round
March 25 (Wed.), 6:30 PM JST - Apply here
Note:This is the final deadline for the 2020 Full-time MBA intake
(Online MBA, Part-time MBA) June round
June 24 (Wed.), 6:30 PM JST - Apply here
Note: This is the final deadline for 2020 Online and Part-time MBA intake.
Should you have any questions regarding the MBA application and need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our expert admissions advisors by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
- Safety measures by GLOBIS University and program intakes
We will continue to comply with government regulations and guidelines provided by the Japanese government. Until the end of March we plan to continue delivering our courses online and will await instructions for future academic terms.
GLOBIS personnel have been encouraged to work at home, and those who do come to campus are instructed to measure body temperature, regularly wash hands and gargle. Our facilities are also equipped with body temperature measurement systems and hand sanitizing stations.
These measures are taken to ensure a safe learning environment for all as this is one of our top priorities as an educational institution.
Regarding this year’s MBA intakes, we will still be welcoming new MBA candidates to our campus in Tokyo this fall and online as planned.
GLOBIS University would like to wish you and your family a healthy and safe environment and look forward to creating a bright and inspiring society together.
Dean, Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University
