This course examines the fundamental principles of cyber- and information security especially in the business environment and how businesses are attacked in modern day IT systems. Cybersecurity is intersecting technical, operational, organizational, political, legal, and economic dimensions. Without understanding the underlying risks and opportunities, leaders and decision makers in this digitalized world will struggle to utilize systems in the right way. The course provides a holistic approach to cybersecurity that incorporates technical foundation, human factors and business management to help students meet the corporate needs of filling the existing cybersecurity skills gap in business.
