Message from the President
GLOBIS University aims at developing visionary leaders who create and innovate societies. We believe that future leaders need to strengthen their interpersonal skills, the so called “human skills” such as strong will and motivation, responsibility and accountability, and courage on top of management knowledge.
Keiei Dojo focuses on developing “human skills,” and the course has been founded on principles of Shoin Yoshida’s teachings at Shoka-Sonjuku (a famous historic private school) that became a driving force behind the Meiji Restoration in Japan.
The books that you are asked to read in Keiei Dojo are the books that have had an impact on me. Upon reading them and discussing them with your classmates, I would like you to find out what the implications are for visionary leaders, what you may be missing, and where you may need to challenge yourself.
I hope that you will gain a deep understanding about people’s emotions and about how to influence people, develop strong beliefs and take actions toward what you believe is right, become conscious about developing yourself by modestly devoting yourself to daily practice and studies, and finally become a visionary leader who creates and innovates societies.
