In this course, we will study and learn how successful companies and start-ups, such as Google, Amazon, Uniqlo and Softbank, think and act to achieve game-changing transformations. These companies do not want to be the best; they want to be different. While the rest of the world is trying to grow by 10%, they strive for 10X. Leaders of these companies think big, and lead their companies to Moonshot Transformations.
The term “Moonshot” came from the time when human beings dreamt of the seemingly impossible task of reaching the moon. Even though the technology was not yet ready, Moonshot thinkers believed that it would be possible soon, and prepared themselves for the milestone.
When you find yourself working to make things 10% better, you inevitably impose yourself a limit to your creativity and possibility. Focusing on the current context and the tools you already have will only lead to the creation of an existing solution. Companies that make things 10% better fall into a Red Ocean of intensive competition and suffer from disruptions.
Huge problems and opportunities need radical solutions. This course will teach students the mindset, leadership, organization, tool, technologies and strategies required to achieve Moonshot Transformations.
“We choose to go to the Moon in this decade. Not because it is easy, but because it is hard.” – John F. Kennedy
