Critical Thinking

Course Objectives

As the pace of change in the business world increases, there is a growing demand for business professionals with the capacity to analyze information and make appropriate decisions rapidly. Moreover, there is a growing need to communicate with diverse audiences, both inside and outside one’s organization. In this course, students will learn to perform critical evaluations with fewer preconceptions and identify new ways of solving problems.

On Days 1 and 2, students will learn the basic skills of thinking, while on Days 3 and 4, they will learn how to think when solving problems, before learning how to think when communicating on Days 5 and 6.

Critical thinking is a fundamental skill that enables every businessperson to carry out his or her work efficiently and effectively. Whether you feel your skills need an upgrade, or are looking to achieve more at work, this is a course that every businessperson should take, regardless of industry, area of responsibility, or age.

This world is full of possibilities, but the "time"(one of our most precious resource) is limited. Therefore, we have to choose in which aspect we would like to focus.Being able to answer the above question gives you a clear criteria on where to focus.Maybe no one can answer the question with 100% certainty, but it is important that we keep searching for the answer. I am looking forward to discuss with you in this never ending quest."

Critical and Analytical Skills
Communicating your ideas and persuading others is critical to your success as a leader and business professional, whether as an entrepreneur, an employee of a large firm, or member of the public or not-for-profit sectors. No one is born as a natural presenter, it comes with a lot of work, practice, learning from your mistakes, and learning about yourself. My goal is to help you build your confidence and ability to present effectively, clearly, and persuasively, to a global audience. Find the uniqueness which you bring to your presentations, strengthen that, and use it to persuade, inform, and inspire others!
Anthony Blick
Critical and Analytical Skills
"In a world saturated with data and information, the ability to think critically is a key to success in both business and academic studies. Critical Thinking and the ability to communicate your thoughts clearly will be the foundation upon which all of your MBA studies will be built upon and is invaluable in understanding and learning from case studies. In the professional world, leaders who are skilled in critical thinking have the ability to make optimal decisions and guide their organizations."
Jake Pratley
Critical and Analytical Skills
“Given the longevity of our careers and the rate at which work is changing, it’s no secret that lifelong learning is now a necessity. In the Critical Thinking course, we will learn skills that are broadly applicable, in high demand, and difficult to automate. Lifelong learning should be a blessing, not a burden. There is little in this world which fulfills us more than putting new skills into practice, and that is what we aim to achieve through my course. I look forward to welcoming you to class!"
