At this special online seminar, Alan Patricof, one of the pioneers of the venture arena, shares with the audience a behind-the-scenes look at the past fifty years of the industry.

Alan Patricof, founder of one of the world’s largest private equity firms, Apax Partners, shares insights into his life as an entrepreneur and pioneer venture capitalist.

Mr. Patricof began his journey into venture capital at a time when the industry had no media attention, going door-to-door on Wall Street, asking for opportunities and connections to help him break into the industry.

Leveraging curiosity as the keystone for succeeding in business and the key to an investor-first approach, Mr. Patricof became an early investor in high-growth businesses such as Apple Computer, AOL, Thrive Global, Venmo, and The RealReal.

Alan Patricof
 Co-founder and Chairperson of Primetime Partners Alan Patricof is the co-founder and Chairperson of Primetime Partners. With a 50-plus year career in venture capital, Alan has been instrumental in growing the venture capital field from a base of high net-worth individuals to its position today with broad institutional backing, as well as playing a key role in the essential legislative initiatives that have guided its evolution. Alan founded Apax Partners, leading global private equity advisory firm, and co-founded Greycroft, a venture capital firm focusing on investments in the internet and mobile markets. He has helped build and foster the growth of numerous major global companies, including, among others, America Online, Office Depot, Cadence Systems, Cellular Communications, Inc., Apple Computer, FORE Systems, NTL, IntraLinks, Audible, Axios, and Wondery.
Yoshito Hori
 President and founder of GLOBIS MBA, Harvard Business School
BS in Engineering, Kyoto University Mr. Yoshito Hori established GLOBIS Management School in 1992 and GLOBIS Capital Partners in 1996. In 2003, GLOBIS started its original MBA program which, in 2006, received accreditation from the Japanese Ministry of Education and gained “university” status.
