Masafumi Kimura is a finance professional with extensive experience in banking, consulting, and the technology sector.
After graduating from university, Masafumi joined the Bank of Japan, where he specialized in the analysis of financial institution settlements and conducted research on financial systems. During this time, he earned a master’s degree in mathematics of finance from Columbia University. Later, Masafumi transitioned to a strategic consulting firm, focused on strategy development and new business launches for financial institutions.
Currently, Masafumi serves as the finance lead at a multinational IT company, where he is responsible for the development and execution of annual operating plans, as well as mid- to long-term strategic planning.
At GLOBIS University, Masafumi teaches courses in accounting and finance.
