Jorge Calvo is a professor, researcher, author, and strategy advisor with thirty-five years of corporate experience as a former executive officer at Roland Digital Group Corporation Japan, president of the Global SCM Division HQ, and president and CEO in EMEA. His experience spans digital transformation, global operations management, global supply chain management, organizational change development, business strategy development, disruptive innovation, and AI and Robotics business autonomation strategy. He has received several awards through this work.
Jorge holds a PhD, MBA, and MSc in business research in addition to diplomas and certifications from HBS and MIT in general management, digital transformation, AI strategy, and business case teaching.
In addition, Jorge serves as an affiliate professor of strategy and general management, executive-in-residence, and academic director of AI business strategy programs at ESADE Business School in Barcelona. He is a board director and member of the Japan Operations Management & Strategy Association, a member of the innovation advisory board of the Catalonian Economists Association, Barcelona 4.0 think tank, and several other academic and social associations. He is a frequent keynote speaker on strategy, AI, digital transformation, and leadership. Among the books he has authored is Journey of the Future Enterprise: How to Compete in the Age of Moonshot Leadership and Exponential Organizations, which was translated into Japanese in 2022.
At GLOBIS University Jorge serves as deputy dean and teaches courses such as Strategy and Moonshot Transformation.
