Kelvin Song currently leads the marketing and data analysis team of the English MBA program at GLOBIS. As a faculty member, he teaches technology- and analytics-related courses. He also sits in the project management team for the university's IT system. Previously, he served as the head of the content office where he worked with top industry experts to bring the latest knowledge in digital technology and management to the MBA curriculum. He joined GLOBIS in 2015 to help it launch the Online MBA program.
Prior to GLOBIS, Kelvin spent more than 8 years in the Japanese conglomerate, Toshiba Corporation. Originally from Singapore, he started his career as a software engineer for Toshiba PC Company. He was the lead engineer for Toshiba PC's flagship image-enhancement technology, Resolution+, and he was one of the core members in the research and engineering of 3D multimedia solutions, including the world's first glassless 3D laptop, Qosmio F750. After completing his part-time MBA online, he moved to product planning and marketing, as a product manager for Toshiba Canvio brand of storage products.
He holds a first-class honors bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Nanyang Technological University, and an MBA (Dean's List) from IE Business School. He has also attended executive programs from Soochow University, Fudan University, University of New South Wales and Harvard. He is fluent in 3 languages: English, Chinese Mandarin and Japanese.
