Biography

Takatomo Itoi began his career at Gillette (currently P&G) in 1993. Subsequently, he worked for multinational companies such as Coca-Cola and DirecTV, developing and supporting the implementation of medium-to-long-term strategies.

Joining the world of management consulting in 2003, he lent his expertise to projects across a wide range of industries. He developed strategies at Accenture, advised on M&As for PwC, and assisted with corporate turnaround at Frontier Management. In 2017, he was appointed as CFO, board member, and management committee member of Universal Music Japan, where he contributed to four consecutive years of increased revenues and profits at a time of dynamic change in the music industry.

After that, he independently founded shugochiDesignLab in 2021. As CEO, he focuses on corporate transformation, entrepreneur support, and regional revitalization. Separately, he is also a senior advisor at INTANGIBLES.

Takatomo holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, specializing in strategy and finance. He has a BS in business economics from the State University of New York. At GLOBIS University, he teaches Business Transformation through Innovation.
