Biography:

Takatomo Itoi is the CEO of shugochiDesignLab and a Senior Advisor at INTANGIBLES. He also teaches at the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University as a Visiting Faculty.

Takatomo began his career at Gillette (currently P&G) in 1993. Subsequently, he worked for multinational companies such as Coca-Cola and DirecTV, developing and supporting the implementation of medium to long-term strategies.

Joining the world of management consulting in 2003, he lent his expertise to projects across a wide range of industries at Accenture (Strategy), PwC (M&A Advisory), and Frontier Management (Corporate Turnaround).

In 2017, he was appointed as a CFO, board member, and management committee member of Universal Music Japan, where he contributed to four consecutive years of increased revenues and profits at a time of dynamic change in the music industry.

He became independent and founded shugochiDesignLab in 2021. Currently, his activities lie in focusing on ”Corporate Transformation”, ”Entrepreneur Support”, and ”Regional Revitalization”.

Takatomo holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, specializing in Strategy and Finance. He has a BS in Business Economics from The State University of New York.
