Takuro Kajiya serves as representative director of Calfields Corporation, representative director of Rightaway Corporation, and as co-chairman of Newjoy, an agricultural corporation.
After working for General Electric Japan, he joined GLOBIS and was in charge of launching and managing the Sendai Campus, where he oversaw the education of approximately 1,000 MBAs over the course of 10 years. He was also in charge of the Fukuoka Campus before assuming his current position.
A firm believer in the philosophy of creating industries, Takuro is currently involved in the breeding of Japanese Black cattle in Tanegashima, Kagoshima Prefecture, the operation of a barbecue restaurant in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, and the production and sale of Akitakomachi rice in Gokome, Akita Prefecture.
He teaches leadership development courses at the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University, and critical and analytical skills at GLOBIS Management School.
Takuro also serves as an outside director of the Bonten Group (Abe Automotive Co., Ltd.), a restaurant management firm, a representative director of HAY, an NPO which specializes in revitalizing abandoned farmland in Japan, and a director of the NPO Asuenokibou Venture for Japan, supporting entrepreneurship. He is also a trustee of Tokiwagi Gakuen School and an advisor to Datcha Capital, a fund specializing in regional development.
