“Zero to one – Starting a business in Japan” Conference Report

On February 25, over 100 people attended our first hybrid (on-campus/online) event organised by the Career, Alumni Relations & Events Office. Joining virtually and in-person at the GLOBIS Tokyo campus, the audience welcomed back three GLOBIS alumni - Gaurav Malhotra, Kengo Senuma and Takuya Furubayashi - to discuss their entrepreneurial experience in Japan.

The inspiring evening began with lightning talks from each alumni, sharing their entrepreneurial journeys, values, culture and lessons learned. It was followed by a panel discussion moderated by GLOBIS lecturer Gil Chavez, where the panelists highlighted different aspects of entrepreneurship, including the challenges faced and wisdom gained along the way. The evening ended with an informal networking session where attendees were able to personally discuss and mingle with the panelists, GLOBIS faculty members, students and alumni in attendance.
