GLOBIS University Holds Annual Conference to Connect Future Talents and Corporations

On November 14, GLOBIS University hosted the 12th Annual Conference of the Corporate Mentorship Program (CMP). The program fosters the development of global talent in collaboration with corporate partners through recruitment, internships, and course offerings.

President Yoshito Hori opened the conference with an address on the CMP and the necessity of developing global talent in Japan.

This year, Mr. Egami, CHRO of NOK, and Mr. Hattori, CEO of Hattori Kogyo, provided keynote speeches about their experience with the CMP. Their talks were followed by brief presentations from GLOBIS students hired by each company and a panel discussion moderated by Ms. Kobayakawa.

Next, Mr. Shirosugi from Shimizu Corporation presented on the CMP special course he facilitated this year. The subsequent panel discussion included Mr. Araki and Mr. Kobayashi, who organized the course. They reflected on the preparation and commitment required for the project, emphasizing the value it provides to both students and the organizing company.

About the Corporate Mentorship Program (CMP)

GLOBIS builds and maintains partnerships with a growing network of organizations in Japan and overseas, counting over a hundred collaborators. Through the Corporate Mentorship Program (CMP), GLOBIS aims to accelerate globalization and innovation by connecting its international MBA talent to corporate partners.

The CMP offers two action-learning courses: 1) the Integrated Learning Program (ILP), a two-month internship where students apply their MBA knowledge in real-world business environments, and 2) the CMP Special Course, where students act as business consultants to develop solutions for managerial challenges faced by partner organizations. These highly practical courses encourage students to integrate and apply what they have learned throughout their MBA journey.
