Why did you decide to do an MBA at GLOBIS?

Before applying to GLOBIS University, I had work and a sustainable life, but something was lacking – a sense of direction and sense of mission in life. I chose to do an MBA because of GLOBIS, and not come to GLOBIS because of an MBA. GLOBIS is located in the heart of Tokyo; I was always curious to explore Japan and Japanese culture. I was impressed and amazed with the story of GLOBIS and its founder’s mission and vision.

How is your typical day at GLOBIS?

Bahar readingThe full-time program is intense, a lot to learn and share. It is hard work, but I can already see how much the hard work is paying off. GLOBIS organizes number of events including networking and seminars which lead to endless opportunities to expand our network. Moreover, I am part of a student club where we conduct events focused on themes of leadership, society, culture and others.

My classmates and I have study sessions and group work, where we have the possibility to share ideas with each other and work as a team to reach an end goal. We work hard but we enjoy ourselves at the same time.

How has GLOBIS changed the way you think?

Being full-time students at GLOBIS gave us the possibility to visit 16 countries under one roof. My classmates are truly international with different backgrounds and experiences.

Discussing real-life business cases encourages us to put ourselves in the shoes of the protagonists – it gives a chance to try and execute different action plans and ideas. Studying at GLOBIS, I have developed not only hard skills, but also soft. GLOBIS really gives students a chance to challenge one’s abilities in order to deeper understand the essence of business and leadership.

How is life in Japan?

Bahar meetingChallenging and yet exciting! Unfortunately I had not studied Japanese language, so in some cases it is hard to communicate. However, Japanese people and GLOBIS staff have great patience and dedication to understand and help out.
It’s exciting – in every corner of Tokyo one will be able to find extraordinary views, culture, historical heritage and just a lot to see and explore.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering studying at GLOBIS?
If you want to develop your personal mission, if you want to increase your business know-how, if you want to develop your network, then GLOBIS is the right place!
