What is your professional background?

After I finished my bachelor's degree in International Business in 2010, I immediately started working in my family's business - an automotive workshop chain founded in 1956, specializing in tire change and automotive maintenance.

I wanted to understand the company through all its layers, so I decided to start as an automotive mechanic and work my way up the organizational structure while at the same time beginning a second university career in automotive mechanics.

Ten years passed, and I experienced every operational position in the company and felt ready to take on a managerial role with more responsibilities.

What made you decide to do an MBA? Why the GLOBIS MBA?

As a third-generation family member, I'm expected to take over the business, so I wanted to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to be prepared for when the time comes to take on the challenge.

Therefore, I decided to take an MBA, and I chose Japan due to its long-lasting companies and international influence on the automotive industry.

When COVID-19 hit, did you doubt your decision? Why did you still push through with your plans?

There was a lot of uncertainty at that moment, things were changing rapidly, and I wasn't sure how to proceed. However, most of the 2020 Full-Time batch students took the Pre-MBA courses. We formed a strong connection that cleared my mind and gave me the necessary strength to pursue the GLOBIS MBA despite the COVID-19 global situation.

What does a typical day as an MBA student look like?

Because this is an intensive Full-Time MBA Program, I found there was not much free time available. Most of the time is spent reading cases, preparing the assignments, commuting to campus, and participating in class. The majority of study sessions were held via Zoom; however, we sometimes stayed on campus after class to do some group work.

What advice would you give to potential prospects who are interested in taking the GLOBIS MBA/Pre-MBA?

GLOBIS has been the most impactful academic experience of my life. I've met incredible classmates, teachers, and locals. The overall MBA journey has improved who I am in both personal and professional aspects, and it's an experience I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

The classroom's cultural diversity, collaborative environment, and highly qualified lectures make the GLOBIS MBA a unique and incredible experience that you won't regret.

My advice to potential prospects is to start with the GLOBIS MBA Trial Class; this way, you could explore what makes GLOBIS MBA a unique and practical learning experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
