What is your professional background?

For the past 12 years, I have been working in the Telecommunication sector within the Oil & Gas, government, and security industries. I started as an engineer and gradually climbed up to become a Project Manager, Head of Project Department, and finally Asst. Vice President (Operations).

As a project manager in the Oil & Gas industry, I have had the opportunity to manage diversity, team communications, schedules, budgets, and client expectations. I also had the opportunity to work with people of diverse backgrounds in multiple countries.

What made you decide to do an MBA? Why the GLOBIS MBA?

In 2015, I started toying with the idea of doing an MBA for self-development and progression. At the same time, I was managing the family business and looking for an MBA program that speaks to entrepreneurs.

I was attracted to GLOBIS MBA because its courses blend entrepreneurship, venture, and innovation, along with the standard foundation courses. I was convinced that the GLOBIS MBA was the right course for me because of Kokorozashi, the opportunity to learn how to find my purpose in life and personal mission.

What changes have you seen since starting the MBA? (Professional, mindset etc.)?

Since starting the MBA, I have managed to apply the knowledge  in my work, exercise more logical and critical thinking, and importantly, start to find my personal mission and purpose. I used my new knowledge and skills to leave my full-time job and concentrate on the family business.

What has your schedule been like as an OL student? Do you combine work with study?

As an OL student, my schedule is crazy at times, as I try to manage expectations at work and school. But, because I can self-motivate myself, I always put in nothing less than 100% at work, school, and business.

Since starting your MBA program, have you had an opportunity to apply what you learned at work?

Yes. Now, that I am managing my family businesses, I have the opportunity to apply everything  at work, from preparing business plans, and strategy to doing marketing and finance, as well as doing personal coaching and sharing for my business partners.

What advice would you give to potential prospects who are interested in taking the GLOBIS MBA?

Compare GLOBIS MBA with other well-known MBA programs and do a comparison table. Note down the similarities and differences in the course offerings. Ask yourself, what do you want to learn and what do you need to sacrifice?

When you have a plan, you will be mentally prepared to acquire new knowledge, and you will put yourself in a better position to give your best.

We are all leaders in our way, so we need to start leading our lives.
