“Three years ago, when I switched from product management to product marketing, I suddenly needed to grasp marketing knowledge quickly. I tried using online materials and books, but it wasn’t enough, and I felt lost. My ex-colleagues and my husband, who had all graduated from GLOBIS, strongly recommended that I pursue an MBA. So, I decided to try just one course and applied for the Pre-MBA.
I was amazed at how much I learned in the Essentials of Marketing and Strategy course. It gave me a comprehensive understanding of both marketing and strategy. The course was so practical and enjoyable that I went on to take more Pre-MBA courses. Gradually, I realized that everyone in business speaks the same language. Once you understand the frameworks and terminology, you can truly succeed in business. That’s when I decided to commit to the full GLOBIS MBA program.”
“At GLOBIS, many instructors have real-world experience from top-tier companies. They don’t just teach from textbooks; they share practical insights from their own careers. The executives are very approachable and act as mentors to us, offering guidance and understanding our challenges as students.”
“I have four kids, so I needed a program that would let me keep working, studying, and taking care of my kids. Pre-MBA classes were a mix of in-person and online sessions, giving me the flexibility I needed to succeed. By the second year of the MBA, most courses were online, and since I already knew many of my classmates, the transition was smooth.
With classes held every two weeks, I could take two courses every three months, allowing me to finish the program in three years without feeling overwhelmed. Even though it seemed long at first, the chance to build a network with classmates made the experience truly valuable and enriching.”
“The English program gives you a chance to connect with foreigners living in Japan, Japanese people who have lived abroad, and others who want to use English. This makes it easy to build a network with people in similar situations as you. Also, both the English and Japanese programs allow you to take up to eight courses in the other language, which has expanded my network to include students from the Japanese program too. This diversity has allowed me to meet people from a wide range of industries and backgrounds.”
“I would say it’s kokorozashi. I didn’t take it too seriously at first—kokorozashi, what is that? But at GLOBIS, they asked us to think about the question, “What mission do you want to achieve in life?” I realized that if you don’t take the time to think about this, you might just live for fun without ever considering your bigger purpose.
Through kokorozashi, I also started thinking more about leadership. Hirose-sensei taught us that everyone can be a leader, even if you’re not a CEO or VP. That changed my perspective; I began asking myself, “If I were a CEO, how would I contribute to this situation?” This shift in mindset helped me approach challenges from a leader’s point of view.”
