Angus Tin enjoyed a diverse career, including stints in IT and investment, before finding his true passion in branding. Since his debut as a marketer at P&G, he has taken on various senior management assignments with Estee Lauder, Chinese cosmetics giant Jal Group, L’Oreal, and leading Japanese cosmetics company Pola Orbis. He is now an independent advisor helping Japanese companies brand and export products globally. His clients range from farmers to Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed corporations and span a range of industries that include food and beverage, cosmetics, jewelry, and real estate. The two key areas that he adds value to are branding and globalization.
Having roughly divided his life among China, Japan, and the US, Angus is well-versed in navigating cultural differences, which helps him gain in-depth insights into consumer behavior around the world. Born in China and educated in the US, he first came to Japan in 1996 and is fluent in Japanese. He travels extensively throughout Japan, appreciates the beauty of Japanese products and craftsmanship, and sincerely believes that branding can help Japan achieve success globally.
At GLOBIS University, he specializes in marketing and strategy.
