Biography

Kentaro Muto is the CFO and director of the board at Plaid Inc., where he serves as head of finance, accounting, FP&A, legal affairs, HR systems, and general affairs. He
has led finance projects such as overseeing fundraising from Google during its pre-listing phase and the listing of a global offering on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers Index. He has also been involved in developing governance, organization, and HR systems during growth phases.

Prior to Plaid Inc., Kentaro gained extensive experience in the field of finance, holding several top-level positions. He worked as an executive for a healthcare startup, served as a fund manager at Deutsche Asset Management, engaged in investment banking at Deutsche Securities and Mizuho Securities, provided M&A advisory and financing support, and worked in R&D financial engineering at the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (now SBI Shinsei Bank).

At GLOBIS University, Kentaro teaches courses in accounting and finance.
