How to apply to MBA

Requirements

  • You must be at least 22 years of age.
  • You must have a minimum 2 years of professional working experience.*
  • You must be proficient in English.
  • You must possess a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent degree.*

*If you do not have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent by the time of entrance, you will need to undergo a Preliminary Screening to determine if your background and work experience is sufficient.

 

Preliminary Screening

If you are 22 years of age but do not meet one or more of the admission requirements indicated above, you may still apply for the MBA programs, but will first need to pass a Preliminary Screening.

    Eligible Persons

    Applicants who meet any of the following conditions are applicable:

    • Do not possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree
    • Do not have at least two years of full-time work experience by the time of entrance
    • Currently attending a university and is expected to obtain a bachelor’s degree by the time of entrance

    If you are under 22 years of age and/or have no full-time work experience by the time of application, you are not eligible to apply.

     

    Required Documents

    Submit the following through the Online Admission Portal:

    1. Personal Data
    2. Photo
    3. Transcript
    4. Certificate of Graduation
    5. Evidence of English Ability
    6. CV (Optional)
    7. GMAT/GRE score report (Optional)

    If you pass the preliminary screening, you will need to submit the remaining documents as described in MBA application Required Documents.

Application Process

1. Submit your application

Open an account in the Online Admission Portal and submit the required application documents.

2. Initial result notification Your initial screening is evaluated based on the information and documents you submitted with your application. Shortlisted applicants will receive their interview schedule at this time.
3. Second screening (Interview)* Participate in a 30-minute online interview.
4. Final result notification The Admissions Committee will evaluate your application and interview and then inform you of the final decision.
5. Confirmation of enrollment Confirm whether you’d like to join our MBA program by the dates specified in the Application Schedule. 

*Part-time & Online MBA applicants are required to take a 60-minute online Logical Thinking Examination during the second screening. Applicants who have completed the Critical Thinking course in any language at either GLOBIS University or the GLOBIS Management School with a grade of A, B, or C by the time of the interview date will be exempt from taking the Logical Thinking Examination.

  3. Letter of recommendation
  4. Transcript (and certificate of graduation if necessary)
  5. Evidence of English ability (if necessary)
  6. Essays
  7. GMAT/GRE score report (optional, but recommended)
  8. CV (optional)
  9. Evidence of financial resources (for all non-Japanese applicants who wish to apply for a GLOBIS scholarship and/or require a student visa)
  10. Residence card copy (for non-Japanese applicants already living in Japan)
  11. GLOBIS Scholarship application (optional)
  12. GLOBIS Education Loan application (optional, for Full-time MBA applicants only)
