Ayumu Imai has been involved in many aspects of innovation throughout his career. He was responsible for the growth of new businesses at multiple international technology companies. At Sony and Philips, he contributed to the planning and launch of products such as PCs and healthcare IT systems. At Merck KGaA, he was responsible for growing the business of new innovative performance materials.
Ayumu also served as the Japan country manager for precision equipment manufacturer Particle Measuring Systems and prototyping parts manufacturer Protolabs. As country manager, he devised and implemented strategies for growth while overseeing the daily business.
Ayumu received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his MS in mechanical engineering from Delft University of Technology. At GLOBIS University, he teaches Business Transformation through Innovation.
