Yukari Hara is the founder and CEO of SKYAH Co., Ltd. and co-director of MY DREAM. org. SKYAH helps build bridges between Japanese companies and African nations, in part by hosting the online platform Proudly from Africa, which showcases fine brands from across Africa for the Japanese market. She also serves as director of Social Design Business Lab and non-executive director of Imbari. Yume Sports Inc. and Haraplex Co., Ltd.
Prior to starting SKYAH, Yukari worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan; the Embassy of Japan in Ghana; Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in South Africa; and Mara Corporation in the UAE and Rwanda. In 2016, she made Forbes Japan’s “List of 55 Women with a Sense of Mission.” In 2022, she joined the Advisory Panel to review the Development Cooperation Charter of Japan.
