Robotics and AI Business Innovation introduces students to the essence and the most important applications of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in the world of business, under three main domains: Industrial, Mobility and Consumer. This course will also include discussions on 3D-Printing. Students will learn how to integrate robotics and AI technology into business models, design new products or services, and transform processes to achieve greater efficiency, better customer experiences and social prosperity.
This is a business and strategy course delivered in a way that is practical and easy to understand, without using too much technical jargon. A technical or engineering background is not needed to be able to participate in this course proficiently.
We will study the implications of Robotics and AI’s disruptive innovation in the business, operations, marketing and management of companies, and how companies can evolve for future industries and markets through new value propositions. We will also reflect on the ethical considerations in implementing these enabling technologies.
We will study the great potential of these innovations and their disruptions in the incumbents:
– Today, there are globally over 3 million industrial robots in use, and sales are growing by 18% per year. In 2017, 3 million drones were produced in the US, 39% more than 2016. In 2017 alone, over 1.1 million domestic-use drones were registered in the US. It is predicted that by 2020, the number of drones produced in the US will increase to 7 million. – Autonomous cars will be available to millions of users in about 10 years. On the same path, there will be millions of companies and users who will benefit from 3D-Printing solutions. – In fact, countries that have the highest ratio of Industrial Robots per capita also have the lowest unemployment ratios.
Robotics and AI technologies will transform society, business, companies and people’s lives. This course will teach you the the fundamentals, applications, and dynamics of Robotics and AI Business Innovations, which will be crucial to becoming a successful entrepreneur, innovative leader or change manager in the companies of the future.
